One-on-one math and reading help for kindergarten through 5th grade, from a trained high school or college tutor, online. No fees, no catch. Fill out one form and we'll take it from there.

01 Who this is for

Families who can't pay for a tutor

Tutor-For-All is reserved for K–5 students from low-income households. Every session is online, so we work with families anywhere in the world.

The form asks a few short eligibility questions so our limited spots go to the families who need them most. Your answers are confidential and used only for screening.

02 Your child's safety

  • Vetted tutors. Every tutor meets our academic requirements and completes onboarding on how sessions run and how we keep students safe.
  • Code of Conduct. Every tutor agrees to it before they're matched with a student.
  • You can watch. Parents and guardians are welcome, and encouraged, to sit in on any session.
  • Online only. Sessions happen over Zoom or Google Meet. No one comes to your home.
  • Private. We never share your family's information with anyone outside Tutor-For-All.

03 After you sign up

What happens next

You'll hear from a real person on our team, usually within a few school days.

  1. We review

    We look over your request and confirm eligibility within 3–5 school days. We may send a quick follow-up question.

  2. We match

    We pair your child with a tutor by grade, subject and schedule, and by language if your child is learning English. Depending on how many tutors are free, this can take a few weeks.

  3. We schedule

    We email you your tutor's name, the day and time, and the video link, with a calendar invite, and a reminder the day before each session.

  4. Sessions begin

    About an hour each, focused on your child's math and reading goals. We keep you updated as they progress.

Choosing times

Pick the hours that work in your own local time. We handle any conversion. Checking two hours in a row makes it much easier to find a match.

Learning disabilities and special needs

Our tutors are high school and college student volunteers, not trained teachers or special education specialists. We're not able to support children with learning disabilities, developmental or behavioral conditions, or other needs that call for specialized instruction or accommodations.

This helps us match your child with the right tutor.

2. Parent / Guardian Contact

Our tutoring calls run on Google Meet. If you or your child sign in to Google on the device you will use for the call, type that email here. A Gmail address works, and so does a school Google account. Not sure, or no Google account? Leave it blank. It will not affect your request.

3. Scheduling & Access

All sessions are online via video call. We want to make sure your child can connect.
Pick times in your own local time

Check every time that works for your child, in your own local time. Do not convert anything — we handle that.

One thing that matters: check a range, not a single hour. If you can do 4:00–5:00pm, check 5:00–6:00pm too if that also works. Clocks change twice a year in some countries and not others, so a session can shift by an hour. Someone who checks two hours in a row can be matched all year. Someone who checks only one sometimes cannot.

Tutor-For-All is designed specifically for low-income families who cannot access paid tutoring services. To ensure our resources reach those who need them most, we ask a few brief questions below. Your answers are completely confidential and used only for eligibility review.

  • All information provided in this form — including household income, participation in assistance programs, and eligibility details — is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
  • You understand that Tutor-For-All is a free program designed exclusively for low-income families, and that providing false information to access these services is a misuse of resources meant for families who need them most.
  • You consent to Tutor-For-All using the information provided to assess eligibility, match your child with a tutor, and contact you about scheduling.

Does it really cost nothing?

Yes. There are no fees of any kind, now or later. Our tutors are volunteers, and donations cover our small costs.

Who are the tutors?

High school and college students with strong grades: at least a 3.5 GPA and a 90 or above in the subject they teach. Each one completes our onboarding and agrees to our Code of Conduct before being matched.

What does my child need?

An internet connection and a device with a camera, ideally a laptop or tablet. If you only have a phone, or your connection is unreliable, tell us on the form. We'd still like to hear from you.

My child is learning English. Can you help?

Yes. Tell us which language your child is most comfortable in, and we'll match them with a tutor who speaks it. That can take longer, because fewer of our tutors speak other languages.

Can you work with children who have learning disabilities or special needs?

Unfortunately, no. Our tutors are high school and college student volunteers, not trained teachers or special education specialists, so we can't accommodate learning disabilities, developmental or behavioral conditions, or other needs that call for specialized instruction. We'd encourage you to ask your child's school about support services.

How long does tutoring last?

As long as your child needs it. Some families want help for a few weeks before a test; others stay for a whole school year. The form asks for your best guess, and you can change your mind later.

Can I request a male or female tutor?

Yes, there's an optional question on the form. If you choose one, we only match your child with a tutor of that gender, which can mean a longer wait.
